I've been promising to make paella for friends and just haven't gotten around to it. Yes, it is a lot of work. I have a great paella recipe, if anyone is interested. Of course, I always feel obligated to make sopa de ajo, una tortilla espanola, and flan for a proper Spanish feast. It makes for a very busy day.
If you can't find saffron at your local market, you'll need to take a trip to Spain.
