This does not sound that bad.

I thought they would do the restoration with all the lions at the same time. It still leaves plenty for those people who are making a once in a lifetime visit to the Alhambra.

According to a Granada Hoy newspaper article HERE , the 2 or 3 lions will be removed after closing each night and all will be gone by Friday.

From today's article (see link above):

A las 18.05 de la tarde de ayer, un grupo de ocho operarios, procedía a retirar el León Número 5, de unos trescientos kilos, tras unos trabajos previos de embalaje y preparación para el traslado hasta los talleres de rehabilitación, en los Nuevos Museos de la Alhambra. Después de colocar la escultura sobre una plataforma, el león fue embalado en una caja, depositado en un pequeño carro a ruedas y trasladado con todo cuidado hasta un camión de mudanzas. La operación duró apenas 30 minutos.

“De aquí al viernes será retirado el resto de los leones”, informó María del Mar Villafranca. “Cada día, cuando el monumento se cierre al público, realizaremos los traslados. Serán dos o tres leones por día”. La taza de la fuente, sin embargo, permanecerá en su actual ubicación y los trabajos de rehabilitación se realizarán ‘in situ’, con cierta trasparencia para el público.
