I just wanted to say that I spent the entire Sunday 4/23/06 sightseeing Madrid, visited the El Prado, had Paella at El Calderon near la castellana? area? and went out and about all over the place stopping often for a tapa, cafe or whatever... En fin, we had an awespme time. I left for Sevilla the following day, took an AVE from Atocha to Sta Justa in Sevilla.

I've been back from my vacation for 8 days now,,, man! It was good!

Had a big issue with a cab driver, though. Bad, bad man!!!

Hmmm, so I'm not the only one having problems with Madrid cab drivers... this guy drove me all around town, when I told him to give me a short cut down Princessa ..then he tried to charge me a surcharge, and I said no..but all I had was a 50 euro bill, so I HAD to pay what he wanted..he was so mad that he had to make change, he threw my suitcase in the middle of a very busy gran via. After making a scene I had to lug around a giant suitcase and search down the street for my hotel.. HORRIBLE, luckily a nice tourist from London helped me... so yeah, hate those cab drivers

It was BAD! I thought it was gonna turn violently bad at one point!!!
