Yesterday I was walking home from the centre (I live in Usera) and in Legazpi I decided to enter the old Matadero (Slaughterhouse) area. It's near the M30 and it's suffering from the "obras" there.
I discovered that there was an exposition there about the project to transform the whole area (that is HUGE) in spaces for theatre, design, architecture and art in general. There will be a big library, bars with live music, a cinema, restaurants, a big space for open air events, etc.

On the website they don't show a lot of the buildings as they are now and I can't post photos as it was illegal to take photos... :yuck:
