Me too.. I want to buy my tix ASAP... but I only get 18:30 atgh!! so late! :

I had tickets for the first entry in the morning (I believe it was 8a.m). Although it meant waking up super early (for me) it gave me time to soak in the palace without large tour groups everywhere. I was actually able to get some nice pictures. I think if I had even went in 1/2 hour later there would have been tour groups in abundance....there were a couple on my heels by the end of my visit since I tend to go slow and not rush through things.

I was just able to get my tickets through my hotel (Hotel Capitel Nazari).. they made the reservation for me at the time that I wanted. Very cool.. some local hotels can make that arrangement so check it out.

Sorry, allow me to explain my question further. Coz I saw from the web's ticket sale that w emust choose the time of visit, and which shows a drop-down list of timings 0830...1030....1400...etc. Hence I wonder, if I choose the 0830 visit, can I show up to collect the tix and enter later than 0830 say at 1000? Or, if I put the timing as 1100, can I show up and enter at 0900?

I was there two weeks ago and it seems to me that you can enter no earlier than the time on your ticket and must enter before the next timed group is due to go, or maybe no later than 20 minutes after the time on your ticket. We were there at 10:00am on a Friday and it wasn't too crowded so we were able to enjoy the visit. Only problem was the rain starting as we were in Generalife.

The entry time is for one specific building, Palacios Nazazios. You can enter the Alhambra once you have a ticket and explore the grounds of the Generalife and the other parts of the ALhambra until your assigned time. You have a 30 minute window to enter the Palicios Nazarios until your time expires. It is less crowded during the 'lunch' time.

The Alhambra takes several hours to see so leave yourself time. I was there last week and at 11:00 there was a huge line waiting to get tickets. They announced that there were only 150 more tickets for that day. If you have advance reservations, you do not wait in that line. There is a special window in the same area to pick up reserved tickets.
