The trains from Madrid to Toledo are not going all the way to Toledo due to construction work. RENFE is laying brand new tracks along the route, I don't know how quick or slow are they on construction work. Trains end their trip on the Algodor station and then you transfer to a bus that takes you on to Toledo. Algodor is the very last stop before reaching Toledo so it's only a 15-20 minutes on bus. Still if time is a major concern for you take a bus all the way from Madrid. On my return trip from Toledo to Madrid people were cramming on the buses from Toledo to Algodor. This happened on April 15th 2004.

I THINK THAT THEY HOPE TO FINISH SOMETIME IN 2006!!! The buses are easy to use and run about every half hour.
