Anyone here of any deals from the US to Madrid???

Yesterday I was booking online on Iberia and they had some specials listed on the side of the main page advertising $336 from Miami or Chicago (not sure which).

I just used Iberia between Madrid and Málaga. I booked online and there was an additional charge of less than 10€ over the ticket price. I received the confirmations without problem. When I checked in, I just showed my passport although I was told that I might have to show the credit card as well. It was simple. I did take a printed version of my confirmation

There is price war going on right now between the airlines. Iberia has also discontinued its free food and drink on its shorter flights in order to offer lower prices. You can get stuff if but only if you pay and that includes water.

The lines at Spanair were enormous so give yourself time to check in!! I still prefer the train if I have time.

sel, did u have to show the email confirmation you printed out? or did you just hv to present a passport and confirmation code?

the reason i'm asking is that i still have NOT heard form iberia air. so i'm thinking of calling them to inquire. but if you only need to show your passport/credit card, then i won't bother.

I had it with me but did not have to show it. They just used my passport to pull up the information. I was simple and fast.

iberia finally emailed me confirmation. have printed it out and will bring it with me, just in case!
