Im guessing it would be cheaper to travel by bus than by train, but by how much and does anyone know the sort of price i can expect on a single journey - around the 10th August.

Thanks.

I took the bus last year from Madrid to Alicante in late July and it was 40 euros roundtrip. It only took 4 hours with a 30 minute stop along the way. It really was not bad. Hope this helps!

Fred, Alsa/Enatcar is the bus company that goes to Alicante. It's definitely cheaper than the Altaria trains .
