I feel comfortable sharing this now that I have purchased my own ticket

Iberia has very good fares to Madrid in September. I just bought mine for late Sep. from MSP to MAD for US$543+tax, easily US$3-400 cheaper than the normal Sep. fares.

They don't seem to be availible on any website but Iberia.com.

Of course I will be staying at Hostal Adriano!
