I was curious if anyone ever attended a language academy called SpanishWorks, or even heard of it. I've been researching different academies in an attempt to get a student visa and live legally in Spain for a year.

I've shot a couple of emails to them and they have been very responsive so far.

Thanks,

Monty

Do they have a website? Where in Spain is it located or is it throughout Spain?

Thanks Robbie, thats the website. They have multiple locations...the one I am interested in is in Madrid.

I am curious if anyone has had any first hand experience with this academy. They are cheap compared to other academies....part of my concern; however, based on emails they seem very accomodating to a teachers schedule and more than willing to give me a tour when I visit this fall.

Monty-

I really don't know anything about this program except a few pertinent facts.

To begin with...it's approved by the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese (aatsp); the program in Madrid is with Estudio Sampere...well known; the American liason is a former Spanish teacher and, I met her this past summer while we were grading the Spanish AP exams (actually...we sat next to one another 9 hours a day for 8 days).

If she is accomodating for the teachers, it may well be because she understands well the teachers life style.

I realize that this doesn't truly answer you...but it is some info.

I don't really know of alot of the prgrams in Spain. I did six months with ENforex and that I have heard if one the best values in Madrid. It was so much fun cause the teachers really are helpful and know how to make learning fun teaching you not only Grammar but coloquial spanish as well. I highly recomend that school.
