You'll probably have no problems finding bar work in one of the many Irish pubs (there are about 25). The best way to go about it would be by calling on each one when you arrive here. Pay isn't great - 8000-10000 pts per shift. You'll find a list of them all in the free English language monthly paper, InMadrid, which you can pick up in any Irish pub.

Brian, My daughter is employed by one of the Irish bars in a city up north, and has found it a good place to work. As already said, the pay is not brilliant but it will help. She has no complaints anyway!

Thanks mum!! I've just been looking at the website you recommended to me and found your message! I am working in a bar up north, but unfortunately don't know of any bars in Madrid, though if you do move there, let me know, as I'm moving to Madrid in summer.

Emz:
When are you moving to Madrid? If you'll be there between June 26-July 21, check out a thread called: Dinner in Madrid, Spain. We'd love to have you come out and hang with us...roses.
