hello all,
i recently got a job offer from a company in Marbella. i'm from the states. i sent in my paperwork, ie passport copies, pics, diploma, etc to the lawyers and they tell me that they will file with the Ministry of Labor. i'm excited but i want to know a few things:
1) how long will the Ministry of Labor part take?
2) after i get the official job offer how long will it take for the US/consulate side?
i expect that the spanish part will be the longest. does anyone have any suggestions on how to speed up the process or any way that i can help from stateside? if i had inside help/$$$$ will that speed things up?
people have told me it takes 6-8 months to get an appointment with the ministry of labor. is this true??
wanted to add that I'm a chiropractor and as they have no spanish chiropractors or schools in Spain i would say that i'm a specialist and have a good chance no? other than the millions of massage therapists that claim to do chiropractic.
hope someone on this board has experience with this!
be well, Dany
