hello all,

i recently got a job offer from a company in Marbella. i'm from the states. i sent in my paperwork, ie passport copies, pics, diploma, etc to the lawyers and they tell me that they will file with the Ministry of Labor. i'm excited but i want to know a few things:

1) how long will the Ministry of Labor part take?

2) after i get the official job offer how long will it take for the US/consulate side?

i expect that the spanish part will be the longest. does anyone have any suggestions on how to speed up the process or any way that i can help from stateside? if i had inside help/$$$$ will that speed things up?

people have told me it takes 6-8 months to get an appointment with the ministry of labor. is this true??

wanted to add that I'm a chiropractor and as they have no spanish chiropractors or schools in Spain i would say that i'm a specialist and have a good chance no? other than the millions of massage therapists that claim to do chiropractic. frown

hope someone on this board has experience with this!

be well, Dany

I just did some search (quiropractica) , may be the starting point is the page of Spanish Association of Chiropractice, they several resources for professionals and it seems that they can point you to the chiropractice a university studies.

At least is a starting point, in any case here is associated to fisiotherapy in regards to institutional and educational issues

Thanks for your help Navito. I'm already a member of the AEQ. I've been offered a job from one of their members and I'm starting the visa application process which the "AEQ" knows nothing of unfortunately. I wanted to see if anyone on this board has had experience with the ministry of labor application process. Do you know of anyone?

Regardez moi! Dany

P.S. There are millions of PT's in Spain and the profession is way more established than DC's.
