Basque Studies Cataloger: University of Nevada, Reno invites applications
for a temporary, two-year appointment to catalog Basque Studies materials.
Responsible for original and complex cataloging of Basque-related materials
in all formats; participates in grant-funded Basque Studies Database
project, which includes user interface and template design, authority work,
and supervision of a cataloging assistant. Required: ALA-accredited MLS (or
equivalent international degree); fluency in English with reading knowledge
of Spanish or fluency in Spanish with reading knowledge of Basque and
ability to communicate in English. Preferred: Two years original cataloging
experience using OCLC or RLIN; familiarity with MARC formats and standard
cataloging tools; knowledge of or interest in learning Basque; fluency in
Spanish, English, and Basque; experience with Innovative Interfaces ILS.
