Do many discotecas allow 16 year olds in? I know that the drinking age is 18 even though everyone does it and the law isnt enforced, but can i get it. my friends in spain told me that because i am american they'll let me in.

Not probable. But most discos have "light" hours (early in the evening) in which they don't serve alcohol and let people under 18 get in.

Yes, surely you will be able to get in. I am also 16 and American and i'm going to Spain this summer. My friends that live there (17-18 years old) are sure that I will get in. Also, if you walk in with a boy on your arm (or something) they will most likely let you in. My friends don't seem concerned that I won't be able to get in, so you should also be fine.

I have no idea about the alcohol, sorry. However, i'm sure it wouldn't be EXTREMELY hard to get if you really wanted it.

all i can tell you is that my friends are sure that i will get in. They acted like as long as i am with them (since they are older) and dressed nice that they will just let me in. I can ask them again today to verify and then post again later.

my friends said that it depends on what disco you go to whether they will ask for your i.d... so i guess it isn't guaranteed but it's not out of the question either.
