Last time I was in Madrid I went to a club that was known....I belive for its red velvet walls or drapes. Does anyone know the club I am referring to?

When were you there last? About where in Madrid was it located? Near what?

Red velvet drapes makes me think of Palacio Gaviria (web: http://www.palaciogaviria.com ) which was a real palace one day. Here, they have 3 disco rooms with one playing techno music, one with Spanish pop/rock, and one with latin/salsa music. LOTS of elegant chairs and sofas all around the place. When you first walk in you have to scale a large, beautiful, marble staircase to the upstairs dancefloor(s). Could this be the one?

UPDATE: I just visited the aforementioned website for Palacio Gaviria and after the page loads you see red velvet drapes on the righthand side. THAT'S GOT TO BE THE PLACE!

There used to be a club, I don't know if it still around, near Colón called "Boccaccio" that fits, exactly, the description you give: red walls, red carpets, walk down an elegant curved staircase, and they even had red-enamel and ceramic bathrooms.
