where can one find a basketball court with nets in madrid? seems like everything is either locked, has no nets, or the rims are too low! the best place i have found is near my office near concha espina but the rims are 9 ft high. oops.

not that i expected the game to be important here, but i was hoping to play....

no luck in retiro either.

confused

I know what you mean, but hey, what's wrong with dunkhoops?

When we knew we'd be in an area for a while (semester study, etc.) we just went to the tienda deportiva and bought nets. They were usually less than $4 per. If you go back to the park/scholl, etc. and someone's playing, you just play them for the court...if you have any skill at all, you usually win, and you get to use your nets. Just watch out for the "extra step" on the way to the basket. I'm sure you know exactly what I'm talking about.

thanks for the tip on the b-ball courts
some people from my office went to a place next to the metropolitano metro and played with some students. they told us it was for the university only but they needed some more for full court so we played with them smile

and once again low rims! must have been around 9'6" since i was almost able to touch the rim. im nowhere near dunking but some of mis amigos were more than happy to see another low rim.

not to be choosy but if someone does know of a public place with regulation height rims, i.e. 10' id love to hear of one. maybe it doesnt work because there's no way to cleanly convert feet into meters?

hmmm.

on another note, where can one watch the nba playoffs?

mad eek laugh cool
