Just got back from a one week visit to Madrid, Toledo, and Barcelona.

The Alcazar in Toledo is closed for renovation and will be closed for some time.

In Barcelona, the funicular to Tibidabo does not run on Wednesday -- we took metros to the tram that takes you to the funicular but a bus driver stopped and told my wife and I and others that the funicular works presently I believe from Thurs-Sunday.

Palau Guell is closed for renovation. Not sure how long this will last.

I remember back in 1937 when the Alcazar was closed for asedio. It took them a while to open up again after that. Let's hope the renovations do it some good, and do it quickly!
