Hello... Quick question about Spanish airlines. I am hoping to fly from mainland Spain (either Sevilla, Malaga, or Valencia) to Mallorca/ Ibiza. I have read some stuff about being able to fly on a standby basis for very cheap. Is there any truth to the idea that you can walk into an airport the day you hope to fly, buy a ticket & go standby? If so, which airlines offer this option and which do you prefer? I've looked for some flights on the internet & the cheapest thing I've seen is around $160... Please let me know if you have any ideas or suggestions. Thanks, Lindsay

Spanair has some good deals from Madrid to Balearics. Iberia had some last year but I don't see any this year (Entrando en pista). Even so, I think they required at least 6-hours between purchase and departure. And they were supposed to be open only to Spain residents. rolleyes
