steve robinson Executive Member Registered: 02/23/06 Posts: 1158 Loc: Hastings Old Town , England .	Plaza de Cibeles and many other areas of the centre will be closed off from 16:00 today ( Sep 27th ) until 02:00 on Monday . This is due to "El D�a de la Corozanada " where citizens of the city can demonstrate their support for Madrid�s 2016 candidature to host the olympic games . Huge crowds are expected .

I know these things are hard to compute but it�ll be interesting to see the news reports tomorrow . But no doubt there was major disruption in the city centre .

THIS morning (Monday), Telemadrid's morning program and the Telemadrid website are quoting 500,000 persons in attendance. I think sometimes "in the heat" of live television they tend to overestimate (or just exaggerate).
