I'm coming to Spain for 2 weeks in November. Planning to spend the first 5 days in Madrid and then a week in the south (Granada - Valencia). Are there any pitfalls to renting a car over the internet? Seems like there a lot of third parties (like an Orbitz) that claim discounted deals with the actual rental agency. Is this reliable and relatively hassle free (I speak little Spanish)? Or am I better off woking directly with the local agency.
Also is it easier and cheaper to pick up a car in town (seems like there are a number of possible sites) versus going back out to the airport?
Any feedback would be appreciated.

this is the company that I have used when I am renting a car in Spain. They seem to be very reliable. I needed to rent an automatic and was very suprized with the volvo wagon that we got.
