I have been to the renfe website and have learned that I can't purchase tickets for the overnight train on-line. Has anyone purchased tickets while in Barcelona for the overnight train to San Sebastian? Any suggestions?

You can purchase overnight train tickets at www.raileurope.com. However, there is a surcharge. I rented a car and drove to San Sebastian from Barcelona. I took the overnight train back to Madrid.
