Hola Todo el Mundo,
Wanted to get some feedback regarding my trip to Spain at the end of May...I was thinking about flying into/out of Madrid and staying there 2days then heading via AVE to Sevilla...My other idea was flying into Sevilla(where I am spending majority of my vacation visiting friends) and taking the train to Madrid for two days and head back to Sevilla...Which plan do you think is easier and less hassle free? Thanks in advance..:-)

From the US, can you fly to Sevilla without going to Madrid first?

I think Sel is right: I don't know of any air Carrier that flies direct from the U.S. to Sevilla. Once, we flew Iberia TransAtlantic and said Sevilla was our destination. We had to pass thru Immigration & Customs and change planes in Madrid, but it cost the same to Sevilla as to Madrid.

May 30 is Pentecost Sunday and the peak of the feria del Campo and Romeria al Santuario de la Virgen del Rocio just across the Donana in the Province of Huelva. So, maybe you want to go to Sevilla first and come up to Madrid for some of the San Isidro festivities.

Thanks for advice...I am going to Sevilla first (which still requires me to fly to Madrid 1hr. layover then onto Sevilla)..I figure I will take the AVE train to Madrid and hanout for two days and then come back to Sevilla for the remaining week. Do you think it will be easy to find a hostal in Madrid (on the fly-just show up)? Thanks
