I just read in the thread "How do I get to these places?" that it would be better to take the bus when traveling between Granada & Sevilla. Does anyone know why? I'm trying to decide which way to travel - train or bus. Thanks!

Train. It's just as cheap, most times faster, much more comfortable and since you're not on a roadway, the sights are much more amazing. Think moorish castles appearing out of no where, neatly manicured olive groves and fields of sunflowers. Ahhh, Andalucia!!

As I recall, you have to change trains to get to Granada. This is why the bus is considered to be better. The buses in Spain are very comfortable and often they offer direct buses which make fewer stops.

I was able to go direct from Sevilla to Granada by train (no train changes, but a few stops). Cost was similar to the bus, scenery spectacular...even some modern windmills (for wind power). I also liked being able to walk around on the train.

Yep, it appears that there are several trains and that they all cost 17.65€. This is probably a bit more than a bus would cost, but the trains are nice!!!
