Sofia says she didn't get any compensation when her flight was cancelled and she couldn't get out for days owing to weather. That has happened to me more times than I want to count. Each time I write a letter (on computer: i just modify it!!) of complaint to the consumer affairs division (on all the airline websites), and they always send a voucher. $150 if it is an international, $75 on domestic is typical. In fact (and you all know i am the internet travel queen) I make a point of complaining to several airlines each year. Something always goes slightly wrong, and they routinely send vouchers without thinking twice. Try it next time!!
