This place is a real find !!! We managed to get a special rate of an unbelievable €39 per night !!! Twin room ( with really really comfy beds) LCD TV. Full size bath. Own kitchenette with sink, fridge, hob and M/wave. Roof top swimming pool !! And again FREE WIFI.... The usual room rate is still only €59 per night. The only downsides are that rooms are at ground level or maybe lower, so no view. Ear plugs are a good idea if you are easily disturbed by traffic noise. Neither bothered us.
Extras are €2 for the safe and €3 -I think- for crockery etc.
The location:10 min slow walk to placa Espanya.
We spent 2 days exploring Montjuic and the Museum of Art. There are plenty of eating places on this side of Barcelona, including an excellent Pakistani restaurant called Rajah (just of Placa Espanya at Creu coberta 26. Don't be put off by the exterior/interior, the food is wonderful.
