Can anyone recommend a hostel or hotel in A Coruna that they liked? I am finding places online but it helps to get opinions as well. Looking for something centrally located (as I won't have a car) and sub 100 euros/night.

I stayed at the Hesperia A Coruña in August 2004. It's a very nice, extremely comfortable, centrally located modern hotel. I don't know what it goes for now but I paid a very reasonable € 68 a night through Travelocity.
