I may go to Madrid for a week March 21-March 27, and am thinking about booking a room at the Hotel Atlantico . Has anybody stayed here? How was your experience? ANd would you stay there again? Thanks in advance!

I just did a searchon Hotel Atlantico, something I should have done in the first place. Anyway, I found lots of info on Hotel Atlantico in Madrid. Just a reminder, don't "pull a mencey", Do a search before posting. This board rocks MM.

Way to go, mencey. And remember, you can plug-in their address into http://fotos.qdq.com and take a virtual stroll around the hotel's neighborhood.

I stayed there in 1994. When I returned to Madrid in 1999, it was undergoing quite a facelift. Although it is on the Gran Via, I don't recall it being noisy at all. It was expensive compared to a hostal, but if you prefer a hotel, it wasn't too expensive. The rooms were a little dark for me, but quite comfortable. They also had a mini refrigerator, which was handy.

I stayed at the Atlantico last year and loved it,
very clean & comfortable, with helpful personnel and a fantastic breakfast plus they have a shuttle that will pick you up at the airport! It's in a great location, that is close to shopping and the double decker tour bus stops very close by. The outside of the building is breathtaking with the evening lights on it. I hope you enjoy the hotel as much as I did!
