I have been searching Itunes for any Spanish news podcasts and cant find any - does anyone know of any podcasts on itunes from Spanish media outlets? It seems weird to me that there aren't any but I just cant seem to find them ...

I don't know that Spanish news podcasts are all that common or popular on the internet. I mean, news about Spain, that is.

Are you seeking news about Spain in English or Spanish? I'd imagine the latter would be easier to find but since there's a bit of lag in technology popularity you may find fewer in/from Spain.

Have you checked http://www.ElPais.es and http://www.ABC.es and the rest?

I would take either ... I have my ipod on my desk every morning and listen to the news and would rather get my Spain news that way then have to go to the website and read the articles. There are a few .. Cadena Ser has one but it isnt current events and is a little on the boring side (sorry Cadena Ser :-(

I was hoping to find one with a daily headlines kind of thing... if anyone knows of any I would love to hear about them.

Have you tried conducting a Google search using keywords like:

"el país" +podcast

Ahhh... I see what you mean. This one, in particular yields results for Cadena Ser, http://www.elpais.com/podcast/ , and no, they aren't current events but are rather "magazine stories". But try the for the other major news outlets like RTVE.
