I went to see the first movie a the Film Festival today. It was Pájaros de Papel by Emilio Aragón. The director was there to speak about the film as so was one of the main actors, Lluís Homar. It was so exciting to see them both. As I walked into the theater I recognized Homar immediately. (He was in Los Abrazos Rotos and La Mala Educación by Almodóvar)
Has anyone seen the film? It is really excellent! Takes place during/after the civil war and it is a homage to the vaudeville actors of that time. The acting is wonderful and the music is great. I recommend it, if you have not seen it yet.
