Dear madridman & all those knowledgeable about Madrid, thank you. My husband & I just returned from a week's vacation in Madrid. The US, especially the Detroit area pales in comparison. I think we covered downtown Madrid from end to end, enjoying as many cafes, tascas & restaurants as we could. The Prado was awesome, the Museo Reina Sofia is not to be missed. Just being out on Grand Via or any of the beatiful plazas was fun. Our only regret was that the train we boarded to Avila one morning decided to stop at Tres Cantos (I think a close suburb of Madrid) and not go any further. Is that a common occurence? Anyway, it gives us another reason to return. We stayed at Hostal Dulcinea, clean & quiet, and used Aerocity to arrive & depart ( I agree that their vans could be better marked) Thanks again.

Hello jmg! We're a proud bunch of Spain-lovers and are all happy to assist travelers just like you. We'd love to hear more about your trip if you'd care to contribute in the other forums like "Hostels & Other Lodgings" (about your stay at Hostal Dulcinea -- I too stayed there one night and found it great!), the AeroCity service in the "Transportation" forum (maybe add to the existing thread), etcetera.

Thanks again for the feedback about the message board and about your trip! We just love to hear about what people did, saw, experiences while visiting Spain!

Saludos, MadridMan

Hey MM - you're going to be sick of me with these forum suggestions, but how about a "travellors tales" forum, where people can post longer reports back after their trips on what they did, a bit like your diary (and what Steveaqui did recently). Lots of people who ask questions never re-appear. Maybe they don't know where to write stuff and this would encourage them. Of course, they can always use general chat or break up their story into lots of bits according to forum title, but one loses the overall impression. Anyone else think it's worth a try?

Hi El Boqueron! I love your suggestions! (usually. hehehe) However..... in this case I would be concerned that people would just tend to "unload" their travel informations/recommendations in that forum alone. This might make it difficult for someone searching for specific information as they would have to sift through a lot to get to what they hope to find. Keep those suggestions coming, though! Thanks!

Saludos, MadridMan
