Hey Eddie, quick question...are DOD Civilians allowed to use the post office in Rota? I would assume so, but I heard the BX/Commissary are off limits so I thought I'd check before I get excited.
I'm quite interested because they just started free MPS! I'm ALL over that!
Oh, another question, I heard that you have to check in on base if you're actually not stationed at Rota. Are you able to sign someone on base or is it only open to ID holders?
Thanks for your help! smile

Sorry, Nevado. I don't know the answer to either of your questions. The only thing I used at NavSta Rota was an ATM (outside the base bank).
I also don't know if it is a Community Bank. I just needed to get some local currency there to pay the taxi driver. They have 2-ATM's - one dispenses dollars; the other pesetas. They could realy do it with one, like at Shannon (Ireland) airport where you can get Irish Punths, GB Pounds Sterling or US Dollars from the same ATM.

Thanks for responding. Do you recall if they had a Community Bank on base?
