Rocinante, Why don't you come out to Chino on the 4th of July weekend (actually Sunday the 6th)? The Southern California Basque Club is having their annual picnic at the Chino Jr. Fairgrounds. Although there are Basques from the French side, it's a pretty even split with those from the Spanish side and there is much "peninsular" spoken! We'll be there, and if you like lamb, you're in for a great dinner!

HERE . The SoCal picnic is the third on the list. I'll be there, and my daughter will be dancing with the little kids group.
It's a little hot, but the food and atmosphere is wonderful. PM me if you'd like further info! I've got all kinds of family that you can talk ears off of in castellano!
