Hello . I will be going to school in Palencia as part of my exchange program and I do not know much about that city or area at all. Has anyone been there or know anything about it? Thank you, I appreciate your help.

Palencia is really a small town in the north of the Castille area, it's a very quiet and cold city, but it has a lot of Romanic monuments.
Just a few miles north you'll find some of Europe's greatest scenery, in the Picos de Europa area.
