Anyone remember the "2-dimentional black bulls" scenes in the Penélope Cruz movie "
Jamón Jamón "? One might say, "Beware of Falling BULL B*LLS!"
It's my understanding that years ago when they were first constructed it was illegal to have billboards or advertisements along the highways or in the fields. So the Osborne company put these HUGE black bull billboards without words and, since everyone already knew the black bull was the "Mascot" or symbol for Bodegas Osborne that words were not needed and no laws were broken. Can anyone confirm this??
I just used the SEARCH link above/right and found the old thread "
Roadside Bull Signs " with A LOT more information and links.
