question: Is there a website out there that details the events/goings on in Madrid during the San Isidro festival May 8-15?

I am debating whether to go during this or maybe sometime later in June when it will be warmer.

ps...hope everybody forgives me for going off on that black in spain thread.

I can't recommend any website, but I was in Madrid this year during the San Isidro festival and LOVED it, there were open air concerts for free on the Plaza Mayor, and it was packed with happy people having a good time, dancing, having a calamares sandwich etc. I hope I can be there next year, too. For sure, in June good weather is even more secure, but in May you already have a fair chance of nice temperatures.

nice, thanks Connie! That is the type of information that I'm looking for. I would just like to find a schedule of events for what will happen next year at the festival so I can plan my day trips around what I don't want to miss (the concerts, etc).

I don't think you can get the schedules for the next year San Isidro's festival yet. In fact, the Municipal Tourist Board issues a brochure every year just 1 or 2 weeks in advance!!.

Anyway, try doing some search with Google. You may find something.

My schedule from '99 (from Restaurantes La Giralda, S.A.) list San Isidro-related Bull fights (daily) until the first week of June.

What to do? Go to the bullfights. The most famous and "best" matadors fight in Madrid during this fiesta. Or so they say.
