I just saw it on TeleMadrid TV and the displays are nice but it was almost empty??? Do not know if the trend is for the whole day or what but showing it like this on TV really dont help.
pedmar, you probably saw what was happening first thing in the morning. I'm not surprised it was empty.I thought about going, myself, but thought better of it as it's REALLY out of the way and only a small percentage of the "stands" deal with Spanish tourism.
Saludos, MadridMan

I was there yesterday, on saturday. It was crowded as every year. This trade fair is open only for professionals for the first three days, and for the general public the next two days, saturday and sunday. The video posted here must have been shot during the professional time. Spain has more than 50% of the exhibition space, all the comunidades autonomas, many city councils, hotel companies, cruise companies, air lines, travel agents, casas rurales, paradores nacionales, and more. People carried bags, some of them carried airplain cabin suitecaises (yes, you red suitcaises), with kilograms of brouchures and information of all kinds, even leaflets with Spanish traditional cooking recipies were given at the stands. There were shows such as folk music at many regional stands, flamenco at the Andalucia stand, live pop at Valencia stand, a Semana Santa parade from Murcia, wine tasting shows, cooking exhibitions, etc. It is nice to visit, there is a metro station "Campo de las Naciones" (line 8) right on the main entrance.
