Have a GRRRREAT holiday/fiesta, Spain! I was listening to TeleMadrid radio on the internet this morning before going to work (as my online buddies in Spain were ONLINE on ICQ since they didn't have to work today!) and they were interviewing an elementary school and all the children were telling what costumes they were going to wear for Carnaval and the overwhelming majority of boys said "Pirata" (pirate" and the girls said "princesa" (princess). ONE girl said "Reina" (queen). Hhahaaha!! So cute, they were.
Who in Spain has plans for this holiday? What are they?

Hey, in one hour I'll go to Cadiz carnival, for the weekend only. I'm frightened about the 663kms we have to do, but I hope it will worth. I'll go dressed of shrimp with chapapote (fueloil).

Miguelito I go from Madrid to Cadiz 2/3 time by car every year. I rest first in "La Carolina" (La perdiz restaurant) and then in Carmona (parador de turismo ) a long rest and I arrive to Cadiz rested

Hi guys!! Next weekend (7-9), I will be heading to Cadiz (not too far from Granada I hope!), for my first carnaval experience! I have NO idea what to expect, can anybody help me out here? Do just the kids dress up or everybody? I didnt get a hotel, and plan to just stay out all night, saturday night. Is this a bad idea? Kelly

I haven't finished the film yet. I'll let you know About next weekend I don't know how it'll be, but this weekend almost everybody was dressed up and there was party the whole night, so if you don't drive the hotel is not necessary.
