i will be in Madrid next week until the end of June. how is the weather so far this month?
i am packing light, i made it through semana santa in Madrid with only a light suit jacket and some rugby shirts. it was sunny and bitterly cold at times, but at least i wasn't too uncomfortable considering my wardrobe.

Hey Toro, this is always hard to tell , I can tell you that it's supposed to get a little bit cooler, actually today it's not so bad already....last night was HOT!!!

i have been in Madrid in June before and for a few days it was cool and the rest toward the end of the month, it was very hot. but, why is it that it was reported as cold?

Toro, I posted in this thread two days ago, which means I was refering to Monday night. Since then and as was predicted, the weather has been getting worse and worse -or rather cooler and cooler- and today is a rainy day in Madrid . It's not supposed to get much better until next week.

38ºC where? in the mountains? Because right here yesterday had 46ºC!!!!!! (at least acording with the termometer in a friend's house).

Isn't that the conversion? The USAToday.com page for Madrid weather says that 102ºF = 38ºC. No?

Hey, I just found a temperature conversion site and they say 46ºC = 114ºF! That's impossible! (no??) Fernando, is your friend's house located under a sheet of metal? How did you survive? Are you crispy brown, all natural juices (YIKES! ) and seasonings sealed in for maximum flavor? hehehe...

IT IS HOOOT! (It varies during the day from 35ºC to 40ºC). So much so that it's quite ironic, it makes being working in an air conditioned office the next best thing to being by the poolside!

I'm kidding (a little bit), yesterday I spent all day relaxing in my tiny 'buhardilla' enjoying the cool air....aaaahhhh! and drinking LOTS OF lemonade and grapefruit juice (hey Shawn!) and it wasn't that bad. Tomorrow it will be just as hot and on Wednesday it'll be time for summer rains to start.

But MMan I wouldn't call this hell, I rather live in a country where you are hot in the summer, cold in winter and have gorgeous weather the rest of the time (at least sometimes !), than to live somewhere with "neverchanging" weather, that's boooring! (And if anything, it'd be a only three hellish months, not 6!)
