When we stayed in Barcelona last May (2011)we stayed at the above hotel. It was a great place for us to stay because we did not want to stay in the middle of town. It was easy to walk a block and catch a bus and we were to the attractions in 15 minutes.

It is in a residential area, but there was a small market across the street that we used to pick up breakfast items.

It is also just a few blocks from Placa d'Espanya and the Magic Fountains.

A new shopping area was just created from an old bull ring at Placa d'Espanya. It opened in April 2011.

The hotel was clean, modern and quiet for sleeping. It was not extravagant in anyway, but if you are just sleeping there what do you really need?
