Yes, I did pick them myself, on the edge of a field adjacent to our home (we own the woods too.)...

I was astonished to see them ripen so early. Usually it's mid-July before you see the wild berries. But they were already ripened, and so are some of the blackberries, which I also picked

I got about a quart of each, and it looks like I will be able to go back in a couple of weeks and get at least three more quarts of each... and follow it up with a third picking.

I really got into the blueberries. I squashed up more of them this morning, and whipped them into a pancake mix, and pigged out on blueberry pancakes for breakfast too.


I tried to find the paella recipe at the website myself, figuring they would give credit to the chef... I couldn't even distinguish one paella dish from another, to figure it out. I ended up sending them an e-mail asking them for the info. Still no answer.
