I would just like to thank everyone that told me to use a money belt vs. carrying a purse and for all the other great tips. Maybe because I read this board and mentally planned accordingly, maybe its being from DC, or maybe I was just lucky, but I felt completely safe my entire stay. I didn’t even see one person who looked ‘shady’ and the money belt made me feel much more secure in crowded areas than watching out for a bag/purse.
