ok so in Spanish but nice photos. There were major rains in Madrid recently and nobody mention anything. There have been heavy rains in Madrid before but never seen it like this

maybe to do with the pollution that makes these clouds come in so strong now?

Meh! It came and it went pretty quickly. The metro lines were delayed and there was some water in the M-30 tunnels, but nothing much. Some of the low-lying areas has water like in the photos (link above), but probably only because the drainage collectors were clogged.

yep that is the case when water clogged, and the city is slow in coming to clean them. But the amount of water never seen it like that!!!

maybe the sewer drains have to be clean better now with the new government there ;;). Now with temp in 38C back to normal ::)

That one street looks pretty bad. By way of comparison, here in Houston. Texas USA we have had 40 inches this year. On 25 May 10 pm to 3am 26 May 12 inches. Hundreds of homes had over 1 foot of water. Still trying to recover.

Had another downpour yesterday in Madrid - and, by chance, I had to take the metro. Luckily, this time, there were no delays, but I did get pretty wet outside. No umbrella! Ugh!
