One thing that really impresses me is the tapas that are served with a drink in the bars...

a praia de Barrana, la oficina de tourimo and the mercado...
It was a beautiful morning..

El mercado

The autopistas are very quiet with very little tarffic...

At the golf club, first up was some practice on the practice range..

After the practice came lunch:- sopa de cocido Gallego, followed by
pimoiento de Padrón, followed by pimiento rellenados followed by flan de queso. Of course it had all to be washed down with some wine.

After lunch the real fun and the real golf began...

And there was some entertainment in the bar later...

Rob

Great photos as always. I especially like the pimientos. The north of Spain is very different from Mijas, Fuengirola and Malaga.

I will be returning to Malaga in three weeks. I will be taking my first cruise with my friends from Malaga. Seven nights from Malaga to Valencia, Palma, Corsica, Rome and Sardinia.

Enjoy the rest of your time in Spain. More photos please.

Today was a big day - La Vuelta a España was passing nearby through a town called Catoira so we had to go there to see it. On the way, we stopped at a stately home that we had admired several time, but more of that later.

We parked up in Catoira and went for a coffee and asked where La Vuelta would pass. They directed us to a spot where we could eat and watch it at the same time...

It was a roadside taberna..

It was busy, we met some outstanding local folks there and the food and wine was excellent

The crowds grew, the police presence grew and our anticipation grew...

Then .....

Truth to tell, it was all over rather quickly!

On our way to the golf club we had admired a stately home called Paxo de Antequeira. It had it's own chapel and we wondered what it was like inside.
On this occasion, we stopped to see it and to our surprise a caretaker came to the gate, opened it and invited us in to look round. He was 84 years old, but did not look a day over 65!

Now this will stretch over three posts....

The exterior...
