HGTV has a new series called "Living Abroad" It is great! I have been a fan of House Hunters International for a while now and what I like about the new show is the variety. House Hunters is about just that, House hunting. While it is interesting to see possible locations and prices of places overseas, I also enjoy hearing about the community life and the city where they relocate. So far, there haven't been any episode on Spain, but hopefully that's coming. (This is a World Forum, though)

Has anyone else seen it?

I, too, love this new show!!! In the opening credits, you see a flamenco dancer so that leads me to believe that an episode in Spain is in the works!!!

Thanks for the tip, teachertraveler8! I'll try to catch the show next time I'm in the USA, but I may be able to watch it on their website, too, like I did the House Hunters show we spoke about on another thread.

Saludos, MadridMan

Thanks for the heads-up on Living Abroad.

I searched for it but only found one episode that I was able to download on demand. Any idea when the shows regular time slot is?

Rudy, it airs on Thursday evenings right before House Hunters International.

Steve, our Madrid family has a connection to that show and they asked if the hubby would consider doing it. He is such a private person that his adamant answer was a firm NO. I was kind of bummed as it would have been fun.

I think they should have a show out there for us titled "Super Spaniards en el mundo". That's what my hubby calls all of us here on this forum!@! LOL!

Lol!
I did a search with our DVR and it showed nothing. Maybe it will air at a later date here.
I also looked online and found a schedule for other areas (maybe yours). It says there will be a program about Barcelona the last week of October and one in Madrid the first week of November!

The comments had many people saying they liked this better than HHI, that people were not complaining.

Hopefully it will be on our local HGTV soon

Recent episode of "Living Abroad" in Barcelona. I loved it! We are thinking of making Barcelona our next Spanish destination, so it was fun to see potential spots to visit. All the ex-pats who moved there really seemed to love the city and several mentioned the proximity to the ocean.

We loved visiting Barcelona. It has a different feel than Madrid. It seemed a bit greener.

Also you could maybe arrange a wine tour in Catalunya - have some great cava!
