Easyjet is leaving Madrid (as a base) for good - the CAPITAL OF SPAIN - in the winter of 2012-2013, but will continue to operate from/to Madrid and to/from other European destinations. That's good news.

The "ElPais English Edition Article" explains it all. Here's an excerpt:

Quote:
"The low-cost airline easyJet announced that it will eliminate its Madrid airport base in the coming winter because of falling profits. The company will continue to operate flights to Barajas but will no longer base its crew and eight aircraft there."
