OK well we have a definite maybe from MadridMan, I'm going to get tickets probably tomorrow for Monday, which starts at 11.00 am. Anyone fancy watching some tennis ?

The official web site is
http://www.madrid-open.com/site/start

It is outdoors, and the forecast for Monday is currently giving a 40% chance of some rain, but cloudy and sunny so not too bad.

Tuesday looks worse.

Just one note, I'm reliably informed that the top seeds will get a bye from the early rounds, and probably not start playing until Wednesday. So if you want to see Nadal, later in the week may be a safer bet. I may go Thursday too.

I really can't Monday morning - and Thursdays, all day, are full for me too. Tuesday would actually be my BEST day to go mad but I'm not willing to risk a long rain delay.

Saludos, MadridMan

Looks like the wet weather is moving in earlier than planned. I'll hold back and see what happens. Maybe Monday will be wet and Tuesday dry, but I'm with you on not wanting to watch rain.

And now look, all that rain predicted for this week and NUTTIN'!!! Was there ANY rain on Monday? I don't think so. None Tuesday. Today's going to be clear as it will be the rest of the week here in Madrid for San Isidro weekend.

Saludos, MadridMan

Someone's just told me too that the main court has a retractable roof, so rain wouldn't have made any difference. Clever aren't I ! Still we know for next year.
