The SunkenFleet HQ is coming to Madrid for several days. Will be in attendence with my wife and her friend. Anyone interested in meeting for a lunch (such as at El Buey or elsewhere, preferably in CENTRO) please advise. Lunch on 16 September or late lunch on 17 September.

Looking forward to meeting great people who love Madrid and Spain.

I would like to try El Buey again. Another place I like (but may have the name wrong) is Barisi, south of the Plaza Mayor. They have plenty of tables in back. Open to all suggestions...

El Buey's a good choice but I'm rather sure they won't put tables together. Remember how full it was when we were there? We were lucky because we went early. Maybe on a Saturday it would be better though. Plus, it may be a bit expensive for some. Seems to me we each paid around 20 Euros each.

I would love to join you but unfortunately can´t make it today. Weekends generally are difficult for me.

Have a good lunch anyway, it would have been good to catch up with you/meet new people, especially as I´ve never tried El Buey. Perhaps next time.

Yet another good lunch at El Buey in Madrid. We were 5 in total and racked up a whopping 150 Euros tab (which included the tip). Good meat and fried potatoes, good wine, good salad, good cheese, good desserts, and very good company too! I'm already looking forward to the next time I/we go there.
