Hi everyone! I'm in Madrid and might like to join others for New Year's Eve who might otherwise not have anything to do. I would (maybe) be arriving with TWO Spanish women (one of which is married). I realize it's VERY "last minute" and VERY difficult to pull something together now, less than 24 hours from New Year's Eve's midnight but wanted to see if anyone had ideas. They say it might rain tomorrow morning but (possibly) not in the evening.

I'll await any ideas from the few persons in Madrid reading this messages on this New Years Eve Day.

24 hours later and no replies??!!! Hope whatever you did you had fun. We're joining friends from work instead of sitting home and eating grapes as we fall asleep.

Hi ChrisR! We ended up having a typically large New Year's Eve dinner with the family at home which was just fine. We had berberechos, almejas, navarras, gambas, then chuletias de cordero, salad, white wine, and then a cava and lemon sorbet mix for the midnight toast after the 12-grapes and even more kisses. A very good meal with my wonderful, local family - all the while hearing the fireforks outside. A good night.

Thanks for your kind words, everyone! Fernando, I FEEL like I'm HOME! As for the continuous MadridMan Parties, we will DEFINITELY be having them more often!! CAN'T WAIT!!! I should start thinking about the FIRST one. Hmmm... Maybe in February? Maybe Once a month? Maybe every 2 months?
