Hi everyone!

I love "La Mala Rodriguez" andalusian rap music.
In my opinion she's the best Spanish rapper. Yes, it is possible to rap in Spanish language.

La Mala María

Click on "Mala Player" down left on the web page to listen her songs.
To listen more songs click on Discos/Media and then choose one album.

Great Thread!

Thank you Antonio for the recommendation of Conchita, I enjoyed listening to samples of her music on her web-page. I did notice a c/Hortaleza address on her page, the same street as the famous Hostal Chelo. Is she a neighbor or a friend?

Cheers

Shawn

Hi Shawn, I'm glad to see you again.

The place on Hortaleza is the company that manages her concerts. I could go there and ask how much they charge to hire Conchita for your birthday party :p

Here I post some videos of Spanish groups from Youtube which I like very much.
They are a bit dated songs, but I think they are classics of Spanish pop/rock.

Song: La noche, Band: Presuntos Implicados

Song: La chica de ayer, Band: Nacha Pop, year: 1982

Song: Pero a tu lado, Band: Los Secretos

Song: Hijo de la Luna, Band: Mecano

Song: Frío sin tí, Band: Navajita Plateá

This song could be a good tune for Madridman's web page:

Song: Pongamos que hablo de Madrid, Author: Joaquín Sabina

This song is even much older, 1974, but it touches my heart whenever I listen to it, perhaps because like in the song, I was born by the Mediterranean.

Song: Mediterraneo, Author: Joan Manuel Serrat

I was surfing the internet and I found this interesting band from Córdoba called "Los Aslandticos".
In my opion it's a colorful fusion of flamenco, pop, rap, reege, salsa and african sounds. It reminds me of the french band "Manu Chao" and a bit of "Chambao" too.
Their song "Dime que lo deje" is really catchy, at least it catched me.

Hello everyone,
I'm new here, but I love to listen to Spanish music. El Canto del Loco is by far my favorite band, but I'd also like to add my two-cents for El Sueño de Morfeo, David Bisbal, La Quinta Estación, La Oreja de Van Gogh, y Jaula de Grillos. All of these have been talked about except Jaula de Grillos, and I only found out about them from ABC.es. There was a video talking about their first cd coming out (their from Madrid), watched it, and liked it. I also like Hombres G, but I don't actually own any of their cds (yet!).
