The area around the live cam of the 3-fans is looking VERY busy! Wow, I'd LOVE to attend the Fería de Abril someday.

The significance of the "3 fans"

I was interested in why the entrance to the Feria de Abril was in the form of three fans and why the webcam should be centred on it. Here goes....
Each year since 1966, the front entrance has been decorated to represent one of Seville's pricipal buildings or monuments. Last year, for example, it was decorated in the form of the facade of the Palacio of San Telmo in Seville. In 2003 it was decorated in the form of the facade of the University of Seville.
This year, the design is to celebrate the centenary of Seville Football Club (although many of the Spanish websites state this, they do not give any more specifics).
The lighting up (el "alumbrao") of the front entrance (or portada) on the first night of the Feria de Abril is one of the emotional moments of the week.

I thought that some MM board memebers might be interested in the sights and sounds of the Feria de Abril in Seville. I found three reports. These video reports are provided by Andalucia Directo, a news programme theat airs on Canal Sur , a TV station in Andalucia (based in Seville).
Each report is fairly short: 3 - 4 minutes and requires RealOne Player.
